I’ve spent the entire vacation chasing a seemingly-impossible dream to take a good picture with Liam.  Today I realized that dream and I’m thrilled.

Able to leap tall buildings in a single bound:

Contrary to popular belief, snakes are very handy creatures to have around.  This morning Liam used a snake as a fork with which to eat his breakfast.  Unfortunately I didn’t have a camera handy for that, but I did manage to catch a few more of Liam’s current snake uses.

Snakes are the perfect running companions:

Snakes make the perfect lock-pick:

Snakes are the perfect universal screwdriver:

Snakes serve as the perfect distraction for sunscreen application (at least for a little while):

Snakes are great for removing pesky belly button lint:

Snakes are great for untying almost any kind of knot (even while having sunscreen applied):

So next time you come across a snake, be sure to think of all the ways in which she or he could be helpful before disposing of him/her.  You never know what you may discover.

After discovering that our membership at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens has reciprocal benefits, we decided to go check out the Marie Selby Botanical Gardens.  We had a blast and I could see this becoming a more regular part of our yearly trip.  Here are some pictures we took during our visit:
